Just a short post on the korean bbq place I went with the colleagues just awhile back! Casilda is a frequent patron of 2D1N Soju Bang and recommended this place for us to try out after work!

The ones who made it! (:

Loveeee Korean cuisine for the small side dishes!! :D :D Though I wish all korean restaurants have the basic bean sprouts side dish!

Mak Gul Li. Makgeolli

Makgeolli is made from a mixture of wheat and rice, which gives it a milky, off-white color, and sweetness. It is made by fermenting a mixture of boiled rice, wheat and water, and is about 6–8% alcohol by volume. No idea why anyone would like this drink. Eugene and I hate the taste of it after having too much of it in Korea.

Kimchi Pancake

Seafood Pancake!

Of the 2 pancakes, I like the seafood pancake more because it's really fragrant and not as flat tasting as the kimchi one.

Bulgogi

Their beef is really tasty. The beef is thinly sliced and the marination is well-done! Bulgogi literally means "fire meat" so it's best served on a stone plate!

Budaejikae!!

My first time having Budaejikae! This dish is served in a hotpot which you can add instant mee just like the one u see in Korean drama! We had 4 extra servings of instant mee cause it was too addictive especially with the kimchi soup!! We could top up soup as many times as we like! I will definitely be ordering Budaejikae when I dine at other korean restaurants next time!

Kimchi Ddeokbokki- not a fan of rice cakes. Too q for my liking!

The crowd outside the restaurant when we left at around 8? Thankfully Casilda made a table reservation and they are very strict by it. If you are late for more than 10 minutes or something, they will give up the table.

Another shot of the people at dinner!

Jermaine, Eugene, Mei Chee, Casilda, Pei Pei and Dawn! (:

2D1N Soju Bang has either bbq buffet or ala carte like what we had. Probably going for their bbq one the next time round!!! I've tried their sister restaurant, Ssikkek Korean BBQ. 2D1N Soju Bang BBQ is about $20+ per pax for free flow grilled meat, seafood, vegetables, cooked food, fruits, drinks etc.

We went over to WABAR after that for some wine to continue our Korean evening haha! Havent been to Wabar for a long time now. We used to go to this korean bar when we were still located at Shenton Way. Nice place with very nice ambience!
