Me in the morning is usually with damp hair. I don't have the habit of blowing dry my hair and cause the hair dry pretty quickly on the ride to office! :D

I really like my dress! I have worn it twice now! My colleagues were complimenting that it looks really nice, definitely because of the intricate lace details. The dress is banded at waist so it's not necessary to put on a belt. (:

Herbal Chicken and Laksa!

I prefer the laksa soup base because it's really fragrant and not too spicy for me. I don't take Ma La or Sze Chuan as it's too spicy for me. The herbal soup base is too blend in my opinion, probably because I took the laksa first.

Weekend starts with Singaporean breakfast! I love eating at hawker centres! A real privilege for being Singaporeans. Oh yes, with ootd in lift first.

photo 1

Having lived at Bedok Reservoir when I was younger, It's my first time at Bedok South Hawker Centre. The hawker centre there was recently renovated so really clean. There were stalls and stalls of good yummy food.

Been looking at Instagram on weekends and realize that people are always posting very pretty Eggs Benny, Sunny side up eggs/ scrambled with bacons. Sometimes, we just have to eat the local way. I would have breakfast at a hawker centre every day if there's a hawker near the office.

Locals delights; Chwee Kueh and Chee Chong Fun

If you are not a local, Chwee Kueh is a type of steamed rice cake and placed in small cup-shaped containers that look like saucers and steamed, forming a characteristic bowl-like shape when cooked. The rice cakes are topped with diced preserved radish and served with chilli sauce. Chwee kueh is a popular breakfast item in Singapor and Johor. I love mine with more cai po (radish) please, Auntie!

As for Chee Chong Fun, it is a type of steamed rice roll, is a Cantonese dish from southern China and Hong Kong, commonly served as a variety of dim sum. It is a thin roll made from a wide strip of shahe fen (rice noodles), filled with shrimp, pork, beef, vegetables, or other ingredients. Sweet soy sauce is poured over the dish upon serving. The rice noodle is also known as chee cheong fun where chee cheong means pig intestine, and fun means noodle; this is because the noodle resembles the small intestine of a pig! (:

After breakfast, it's a walk at the neighbourhood, came across this bakery I used to go to when I was younger to buy waffles and cakes.

I love my waffles slightly burnt so it's toasted brown and filled with kaya and peanut butter! These two must be the best fillings you can have in your waffles!

Square Peplum Top: Accidentally Three
Promo: Quote Zoe10 for 10% off.
Shorts: Forever 21
Bag: Hollyhoque Boutique

This top was made for work but I wore it on a weekend with a pair of shorts instead of a work skirt. The top spots a square design at collar which is very unique. The square design allows ladies to show off more of their nice collar bones and exude a poise.

eat waffle also must take ootd! :D

Got to wear this top to work too! Love the brick red color that will match a black skirt very well. Lunch today was Popeyes! Ordered a Superb Savers A which has 5 chickens, 3 fried chicken tenders, 3 biscuits, corn, mashed potato and a 1.5l coke for $25.80. Added a cheese fries! (:

photo 5

Sad to say that delivery took longer than expected. Waited 1.5 hours instead of 45 minutes as mentioned. Anyway, Popeyes serve the best mashed potato ever, it has fried garlic bits above and I love the corn! It's very buttery- just the way I like my corn to be!

I never understand why Popeyes' biscuits are called biscuits, it is just bread to me. According to Wiki, A biscuit in the United States and Canada, and widely used in popular American English, is a small bread with a firm browned crust and a soft interior. They are made with baking powder or baking soda as a chemical leavening agent rather than yeast. They are similar to British scones or the bannock from the Shetland Isles. Biscuits, soda breads, and cornbread, among others, are often referred to collectively as "quick breads," to indicate that they do not need time to rise before baking. That's nice to know!

Hope your weekend has been good! Mine is by far (:

Biscuits are a bread product, but they differ in the fact that they are often very very dry. Most of the time biscuits are eaten with butter but alot of people use honey or gravy because biscuits tend to be so dry. Thought that might help clairify things for you!
