Sumire Yakitori House

Was invited to Sumire Yakitori House a few months back and finally there 2 weeks ago for dinner. Got to thank the coordinator, Lynn, for being patient with me! (:

With Zonia while we waited for our parents to arrive!

Located at bustling Bugis Junction, I did walk past this Yakitori place a couple of times and it's always crowded during dinner time. Met up with my family after we all ended work to dine at Sumire.

Packed!

Sumire uses iPads for food ordering. And the menus are really extensive!! There's soooo many varieties of food that got me overwhelmed until a staff walked over to offer help. She actually pointed out that there is a Best Seller tab where customers actually chose to be featured there! So yes, that's what I want to try! (:

Well categorized!

Fresh cabbage for appetizer! First serving is complimentary to all, subsequent servings of Cabbage Shiodare is at $1.90.

Feels good to have something light like cabbage before digging in to a guilty yakitori meal hahaha!

Tamago Mentai Cheese- S7.90

I love everything cheese so this is really good. The mentai is rich but not too overwhelming that you can't taste the original tamago.

Black Pepper Salmon Don- $11.90

The dons at Sumire are smaller than those at regular restaurants which means you can order more to share! We ordered 3 dons and 1 udon as mains. Leaving the tummy to more yakitori sticks!

Tori Tama Don (Minced Chicken Rice with Egg)- $8.90

Salmon Sashimi Don- $7.90

Zaru Udon- $8.90

Very happy girl cause the udon is very Q!

Hotate Mentai Mayo and Garlic Mayo- $2.90

Big fat scallops! My favorite is the mentai mayo one! It's only $2.90 each, very affordable!

Hotate Shio Dare and Butter- $2.90

All the yakitori!!!

Saba Shio Yaki- $7.90

Chipi Bacon (Japanese Green Pepper with Cheese and Bacon)- $5.90

Jumbo Ebi (Garlic Mayo)- $5.90

Asparagus Bacon- $3.90

Liver (tare)- S$3.90

Cheese Oage (Cheese Beancurd with Bonito Flakes, Spring Onion)- $2.90

Meatball with Teriyaki Sauce- $3.90

Bakudan Korokke (Potato Croquette)- $7.90

This was highly recommended by the staff there and though we already ordered so many dons and was sceptical of ordering another carbo-heavy dish, I'm glad we did! This is really tasty and a very unique dish.

Didn't manage to dig further in where there's a poached egg right in the middle! My daddy loved this the most, he finished most of it! :X

Ended dinner with some ice cream! We were really too full but had to try Sumire's best seller ice cream so we ordered just 2 to share (:

Sumire Ice Cream- $3.90

2 scoops of vanilla ice cream with brown sugar and soya bean powder- Sumire's very own recipe!

I order sesame ice cream whenever i dine at Japanese restaurants! Goma Ice Cream- $3.90

So that's the Japanese feast we had! And that's probably just 20% of Sumire's menu! You can take a look at their huge menu on their website here! (:
