Bangkok Day 2

Day 2 started rather early.
I love hotel stays cause of the hearty breakfasts! Woohooo! (:

Baiyoke Sky's breakfasts are always on the 78th floor! Super high right!

Rotr Prata is not taken with curry with Thailand. It's taken with sugar and condensed milk!
Try it! Really tasty too though definitely very fattening!

After breakfast, we got our room changed to 46th floor cause of the ciga smell!

walk-in wardrobe lol!

We then took a bus down  to the very famous temple near Arnoma Hotel. We always visit this Temple twice or thrice when we visit Bangkok.

Still quite backward in the sense that there's no automation for purchase of tickets.
There will be a bus controller on every bus who collects bus fares!

After doing our little prayers, we took a cab down to Chatuchak Market! Chatuchak Market is only open once a week, that is Every Sunday!

Another thing about Bangkok is "Bo Zheng Hu" No government! All 7 of us squeezed into 1 cab! We didn't want to split into 2 cabs cause other than my Papa, the rest were women! It was 100 baht for the 20 minutes ride there. SGD$4 only!

it's exceptionally sunny there!

We had lunch first before shopping!

Their lemon tea or what is terrible. Remember not to order that when you are there!
omg! We couldn't even manage a 2nd sip ):

Other than the drink, the food taste as per usual (:

We parted ways and walked on our own.
Zonia and I were afraid that we can't find our way back to the meeting place so we made sure we walked the same lane down and back before going on to the next lane. Teehee!

If you haven't visited Chatuchak Market, it's very much like Bugis Street, just X10 bigger?? LOL!

Men shirts for only 100 baht!
They are in fact of very good quality and nice, but shirts are hard to buy when they are in Size S, M, L!
So i didn't manage to get any for b!

Zonia found a shop to get some dresses!

Only 150 baht storewide!
This little stall has tons of patrons! Everything is only SGD$6 each omgzzz!

I have been very disciplined, I only bought accessories at Chatuchak Market! I have a bustling wardrobe at home so the thought of having no place to keep my clothes scares me.

We met up with the rest as it was turning dark.
And we couldn't get a cab back! The drivers refused to go by meter and were pricing as high as 300 baht, that's 3 times the price we paid when we came! It's also because at where we reside, night markets open and there will be jam. We refused to budge, so we walked to the nearby train station! Teehee!

The funny thing about the trains in Bangkok is that its all so short!
They are like our LTRs but on the MRT platform!

We were like waiting at end of the platform (our last cabin), but when the train came, it's only up till the middle platform! So funny! It's not the first we took the train there, and i'm sure the same scenario happened before! lol! Really embarrassing.

Like every trip, we all gather in Mama's room and snack/watch teevee together.
I end up always falling asleep.

Honestly speaking, the last time we visited Chatuchak Market, i hated it. The place stinks, there wasn't much things to shop. All I saw was jeans and jeans and sports shoes and more shorts shoes! The 2 things which i don't wear! But, this time it's different! The place was cleaner, clothes were more stylish and up-to-date! Again, i saw many blogshop clothes! lol! I bought quite a number of accessories there as well! Rings Rings Rings! (: In fact, when I came back to Singapore, I saw a pushcart at The Cathay selling exact same rings I bought/saw at $29! And I got them for barely SGD$0.80! WTH! That's when b said "Singapore things cannot buy one la." Especially when I told him how much his tees cost!
