Spent my first Mother's Day with my parents at Changi Airport. No other way I would want to spend it. We had brunch at Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Cafe, walked around before calling it a day. Arielle's sleep schedule goes haywire on weekends so we try to take her home by mid -day to wipe down. That Sunday night, she fell asleep on my shoulder at 7.30PM, woke up at 12AM and 4.30AM for dreamfeeds. Finally waking up at about 7AM in the morning! Can my Mother's Day wish be for her to have more of such good sleeping schedule!
Nursed Arielle twice at the Baby Room at the airport. It's available at almost every corner at T3 where we were at! Nursed her once before brunch, so we can all eat in peace but after latching for 5 minutes, she suddenly broke into a smile and looked in my eyes. She didn't want to drink anymore. so she was hungry about 2 hours later where I latched her for 10 minutes - that's the time for usually latches for, that would last her a good 3 hours.
We were at Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Cafe to try out their new menu for this month.
On top of its main menu, which offers a wide and mouth-watering selection of dishes with local, Asian and Western influences, the café also introduces special bi-monthly menus so customers can always look forward to surprising and refreshing treats!
We started off with Mak Chick’s Caesar Salad ($17.90). Look at those cute cheddar cheese bows and croutons!
For mains, we had Sedap Seafood Carbonara ($24.90) and Abang Daniel’s Beef Burger ($21.50). My Dad enjoyed the carbonara so much, he had 1 serving all by himself, he also had half of Mommy's beef burger! Those caramelized onions are SHIOK!
I couldn't finish my burger too. The portions at the cafe are all very generous!
For beverage, we had 2 options, an iced or a hot beverage. I had the Ice Gula Melaka Latte ($8.50) which I requested for more milk so it would be less sweet. The other drink would be the Super Shiok Coconut Mocha ($7.50). It came with a very tasty and buttery Hello Kitty butter cookie!
No meal is complete without a dessert isn't it. The special this time is a local delight- Rasa Sayang Chendol ($12.90). Came with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream.
The portion is really generous, so I would suggest to share!!
