Guan Dynasty

Our families are big fans of Dim sum and it is one cuisine we go for very often. We were invited by  Guan Dynasty to give their new outlet a try. Brought all my dim sum kakis for this meal for a verdict!

Guan Dynasty has just opened theor doors at United Square on 29th April 2018 and pleasantly surprised by how packed the restaurant was when we arrived. If you are intending to dine there on weekends, be sure to make a reservation!

We left it to Guan Dynasty to decide on our menu that afternoon, and almost every dish was something worth ordering.

My favorite are the Cantonese Crispy Fried Radish, Vietnamese Steamed Rice Roll and Egg tarts! Alvin loves the very unique Black Pepper Duck Bun and Steamed Pork Rib with Plum Sauce. The duck meat is very tender and the pastry is baked so it crusty, the way we love it!

Look at this!!! So different, so flavorful!

Vietnamese Steamed Rice Roll- one of our favorites!

Cantonese Crispy Fried Radish is so unique! When we cut it open, we weren't expecting radish, it's like baked carrot cake! Definitely a must-order! If you see my top 3, you can tell I like my food baked, crispy with a crunch when I bite into it! The Vietnamese Steamed Rice Roll is just another unique item on the menu! Not our regular Chee Cheong Fun, this has "cui cui" and prawns! Egg tarts are my must have when I have dim sum so my standard for them is pretty high. I go to Hong Kong, I can eat egg tarts every day!

The egg tarts are served warm, pastry so flaky and the custard is egg-y!! I wished I had ordered another plate  of 3 for myself. The next time, I would make sure I do!

Seaweed Beancurd Skin Rolls

Golden Custard Bun that is so rich in flavor- and most importantly flows!

Hot and Spicy Dumpling

We also had some Roast from Guan Dynasty's Roast Kitchen. the Oven Roasted Duck is really good. The skin is crispy, the meat is moist- we finished every single piece on the plate!

Attack of the grandparents!

Ended brunch on a bitter sweet, healthy note with the dessert of the day, Herbal Jelly!

We were already thinking of when we can go back to  Guan Dynasty even before we finished our meal. The dishes are unique, all because the chef comes from a 3-generations of dim sum chefs!
