Tokyo, Japan- Day 2!

SAM_1535

Started Day 2 really excited and happy because I am bound for Puroland!!!!!! Puroland theme park is run by the Sanrio company, and hosts various musicals, restaurants, attractions, and theme rides using popular characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Jewelpet and many more.

Before I go find Hello Kitty, had breakfast at Granbell's restaurant. We have 2 different restaurants, Western or Japanese to choose for daily breakfast. Choice of food is limited for both restaurants. For this Japanese restaurant, there are only 3 sets of breakfast to choose from. Eggs, Sausage with Toast, Bacon and French Toast or Rice and fish. Each set comes with salad and fruits. Drinks are free flow.

Took the train to Keio Tama-Centre Station which took about 30 minutes. Sanrio Puroland is an indoor theme park located in Tama New Town, Tokyo, Japan that attracts over 1.5 million visitors per year! Everyone loves Sanrio!

Arrived at the ticket counter of Puroland!! The tickets are 4400 yen (S$55) for an adult pass, 3800 yen for teenager and 3100 yen for child! If you print this coupon out from their website, there's a 300 yen (S$4) discount for adult passes and 200 yen discount for teenager and child passes!!! Remember to print the coupon and present at the ticket counter! (:

Puro Village!

Started off with Bell of Happiness where sits a pretty statue of Hello Kitty with a bell!

SAM_1607

The place is filled with this little bell-shaped card where visitors can buy these little cards with comes with a random free key chain (I got Keroppi!) at about 500 yen (S$6)!

Mascots with children!

SAM_1631
Cute Japanese girls!! (:

SAM_1623

As we were queuing for a picture with Hello Kitty, this little Japanese girl couldn't stop posing, preparing for her shot with Kitty lolol! Melts**

SAM_1624

Photo with Hello Kitty! It's against a green backdrop because you can pay 1100 yen (S$14) for a superimposed background photo at the counter. They have very good skills with taking family photos with babies and the S$14 will be most well spent!

Joined the massive queue for the Sanrio Character Boat Ride. Wasn't too keen to queue for an hour for the boat ride but since we are tourists and there, might as well right?

SAM_1647
Self entertain since the queue was endless.

Must be a lucky day because after queuing for about 20 minutes, we were asked if we mind joining another 2 girls!! There were pictures taken for the rides and most visitors want a boat ride all by themselves for the picture. And those who do not mind can share boats thus shorter queuing time!! (:

I usually won't spend moolahs on such stuff but I wanted to bring home something from Puroland and it wasn't too expensive at 1100 yen (S$14).

SAM_1829

Lunch was about 3000 yen which was S$37? Quite alright for a meal at such an attraction place! (:

SAM_1831
Feast!!!

SAM_1854

I was soooo happy to see how pretty my bento looked! There were even hello kitty printings on the hash brown and hotdog! :D :D And I swear! The whole bento taste good, there wasn't 1 thing in there that wasn't yummy!

Festival Plaza is the largest shopping area in Puroland. Full of original goods and sweets, ideal for souvenirs! I didn't get any snacks cause we weren't going back to the hotel and didn't want to carry them around ):

SAM_1862

What's Japan without Onsen (Hot Spring) on a cold day? (:

SAM_1881

Took a train to Futako-tamagawa Station. Walk towards Takashimaya for a free shuttle bus to this Onsen place!

SAM_1883

SAM_1887

There was a holiday special price at 1900 yen (S$24),usual price is 2300 yen! There was 2 indoor private bath places for Women and Men and the third one was an outdoor public one for both men and women. For the 2 private ones, everyone has got to be naked while the public one, all has to be in swimsuits.

Onsen water is believed to have healing powers derived from its mineral content. Had dinner at the restaurant located at the Onsen after about an hour. Couldn't take the heat for any longer haha!

Back to Shibuya's Ginza Cozy Corner for more strawberry shortcake! :D

SAM_1908

The queue wasn't that long in the day but I told you, it is very popular!!! The sun was too glaring in the day, hitting the glass plains and I didn't manage to snap any good shots of the cakes, so here goes! (:

SAM_1909

SAM_1911

SAM_1915

Every cake is made so pretty and it's hard to decide on which to get right! There wasn't many cakes left already but the whole row of fridge was filled with pretty cakes like such!! (:

Night ended with supermarket shopping!! Went to a couple of supermarkets just to look at the special kit kats and snacks they have! (:

SAM_1896

SAM_1897

SAM_1900
Snack queen went wild!!

Bought a packet of bee hoon from the convenient stall (like 7-11) near the hotel and it taste SOOOO GOOD! Melvin was also telling me to try the food at the convenient stalls because everything taste so good though it's supposed to be fast food!

SAM_1917
Huge portion at 330 yen (S$4) and there was so many prawns too!

I have the habit of packing my luggage every time I buy something back. And also take a picture of what I bought from a day's shopping! By day 2, I didn't get anything else except snacks! Teeehee! :D

SAM_1922

I still have 3 more days in Tokyo to share with you guys!! Please give me awhile more cause it's really taxing to do up these posts, including addresses, prices etc! Wait up, please! Thank you! xxx
