Taiwan 2011- Day 5/ Day 6!

Managed to sleep in on the fifth day in Taiwan as we didnt have anything planned out that required us to be up early! hee.

IMG_0949

Off for breakfast! :)

I wore my Sixntwelve skirt! :D
Can't believe i actually whatsapp Esther a day or two before flying off to ask her for one of these skirts so i could wear it in Taiwan lolol

IMG_0952

IMG_0953

It was still really, really cold!

IMG_0954
My daily spread of breakfast during my stay in Taiwan!

IMG_0958

IMG_0961

Had a really quick breakfast and headed out for sightseeing & more shopping!!

IMG_1159
Our matching boots, which we got from Ximending the night before, for only 200twd!

IMG_0966
Zonia and I at the Taipei Main Station!

IMG_0971

The weather got warmer and there! The first time I dared to remove my jacket! Especially when I didnt have any Long john on!! (AT Jiantan Station!)

Headed back to the station to shop at Shilin Night Market! :DD

IMG_1194

Zonia and I at a Levi's store where she got her Havaianas!

IMG_1201

The brightly lighted and crowded street! It was drizzling then, so it was pretty inconvenient carrying an umbrella around especially so when the streets get more crowded!

IMG_1214

This store sells cheap and comfy shoes! Zonia got one for her friend while I got two for myself!

IMG_1215
One of the shops at the night market!

IMG_0982

This Hello Kitty bag is one of my best buys during this trip!! So cute right! And after bargaining the price, it was really affordable!

IMG_1217
Zonia decided to buy a cup of 爱玉冰 to try! It was quite good!

The Taipei cap Zonia got for herself!

Back to the hotel ((:

IMG_1006

Pictures of my buys! (:

IMG_1220
the right two pairs are just $4 each

IMG_1224
These 2 are the most expensive pairs i got cause i love the design! I think it's about $12 per pair.

Few of the many pairs of earrings I got during this trip!

IMG_1227
Shirt I got for B.

IMG_1229

IMG_1230
the kitty bag that comes with drawstring too! ((:

满汉大餐 noodles for Esther and I!

Turned in for the night!

Taiwan- Day 6!

IMG_1018
Wearing the top Zonia and I got from Jiufen!

IMG_1025

IMG_1231

We bought the One day Visitor's Pass which entitled us to unlimited metro rides for the entire day!
So if you plan to travel for the whole day, get the day pass cause it's much more worth it.

Zonia with our matching top in black! We had the intention to visit Xinbeitou which were well known for its hot springs!

IMG_1272

Walked a little around the station and found that there were many visiting sites that we could explore since we were there!

IMG_1274
Kai Da Ge Lan Wen Hua Guan- Ketagalan Culture Centre

IMG_1278

Cameras were not allowed in some areas so pictures were limited!

There's this old cinema concept there too! (:

IMG_1312

IMG_1317
We saw a couple taking their wedding photos there too!

IMG_1326

IMG_1343
Qian Xi Tang- hot spring

IMG_1344

The details for the hot spring! It also says that there is a discounted entry at $20 for students, children and elderly aged 65 and above!

IMG_1348

IMG_1349

The interior of the hot spring! The lady allowed us to enter and take a look even though we decided not to try it this time!

IMG_1350

We visited the Plum Garden as well since we were around the area!

IMG_1358
Mei Ting

IMG_1355

IMG_1356

We didn't try the services there but in a nutshell, the whole place smelt heavenly!

Went back to Taipei Main Station in the evening and settled down for dinner at the bus station!

IMG_1380
Daddy taking a self shot with my camera!

IMG_1387

Tried the 50 Lan Bubble tea which was available just below our hotel! Zonia's been looking for 50 lan cause her friends said that it's really good. And as shared by a few readers and friends, 50 Lan in Taiwan is equivalent to our Koi! (:

IMG_1388

IMG_1392
Caramel Milk Tea with Grass Jelly!

IMG_1393

As it was our last night in Taipei, we decided to visit the night markets again! First up was Shida Night Market which we thought was a waste of time if we went before previously as the variety was limited as compared to Shilin Night Market!

IMG_1407
Ordered a Crepe again- $2!

IMG_1417

IMG_1420

The fragrance of the Almond tea this store sells was too tempting for Zonia to resist! It tasted gooooood! We could smell Almond like 5 stalls away, no joke!

Back to the hotel and pictures of my loots!

IMG_1421

IMG_1422
The stocking I got from a store in Shida Night Market!

No idea if i would have the chance to wear them but they were so pretty. Heart shapes and ribbons stockings at barely $8.

IMG_1424
Shoes from Shilin!

These are really cheap! Like $8 per pair.
I don't wear covered shoes but i couldnt resist them!

IMG_1425
Brollies from Ximending!

Weee these are $4 each and really small and light. Packed the light pink one in my bag to work! (:
So these are my buys on the last day of Taiwan and marks the end of my Taiwan travelogue. Will blog about the Hong Kong one when I have time okay? ((:

For those who are traveling to Hong Kong, may want to read my Hong Kong 2010 posts! ((:

Hey I dont think the entry is free for elderly above 65. The chinese words says that students, kids and elderly above 65 have to show documents to prove in order to be entitled to paying at 20 only. :)
